Anime pride character of the day June 18

Today’s anime pride character of the day is Anna Respighi from the original Battle Athletes OVA series. Anna is a very shy but honest person who is close to her friends and roomates Akari Kansaki and Kris Christopher. Later on in the original OVA series, it was revealed that Anna was really a guy. What happened was that Anna’s mother wanted a girl and she (Anna’s mother) raised her son as a daughter. Once Anna was discovered, she was transferred to an all boys university. Even though Anna eventually came back and competed against Akari and Kris, she still remained friends with her former roommates and friends.

Anime pride character of the day June 21

Today’s anime pride character of the day is Hazumu Osaragi from the anime, manga, and video game Kashimashi. Hazumu was at one time a male. However, due to an accident in a local mountain, an alien ship accidentally hits and kills Hazumu. Out of pity, an alien vessel ends up saving Hazumu’s life by giving him a new life as a female, which was the only way to save his life. Throughout the series, there is a interesting love triangle between two other female lead characters. Being a yuri (girl’s love) series, there is definitely some intimate female moments yet is nothing that would personally offend anyone. Anime pride character of the day June 19

Today’s anime pride character of the day is King from the famous SNK fighting game series King of Fighters and Art of Fighting. King originally debuted in the first Art of Fighting game as a male looking bartender. When you finish off King with certain special moves in Art of Fighting, her top comes off and reveals King taping off her breasts to conceal her true gender identity. In later games, both the King of Fighters and Art of Fighting series, King actually flirts with some characters before fighting them. Today’s anime pride character is Mizuho Miyanokouji from the anime Otoboku Maidens Are Falling For Me. Mizuho attends an all girls school after his grandfathers wishes. However, in order to attend this school Mizuho must crossdress and be accepted as a girl. Because Mizuho already has a feminine appearance, he is easily accepted by the other girls at the school. Today’s anime pride character of the day is Nathan Seymour aka Fire Emblem from the anime series Tiger and Bunny. Fire Emblem is a rather flamboyant, effeminate male how enjoys flirting with other male heroes in the series. I personally think of Nathan Seymour as a cross between Ru Paul and Dennis Rodman. Today’s anime pride character of the day is Aoi Futaba from the You’re Under Arrest anime and manga series. Aoi Futaba is a male officer who dresses and acts like a female in the Bokuto Police Station. Aoi Futaba originally was supposed to go undercover as a female to catch a serial rapist. Anime pride character of the day June 13

Today’s anime pride character is Hideyoshi Kinoshita from the anime and manga series Baka and Test. Because Hideyoshi has a very gender neutral appearance, some classmates confuse him as a girl. Also, Hideyoshi Kinoshita has an identical twin sister and it is easy to confuse them both.
